5 Stars

Rating: 5.0

The team at Ministry of Hair are absolutely brilliant heart and sole hairdressers! I have been to so many salons and I have never had the amazing experience I had at MOH. Every time I walk in the door I am recognised and welcomed immediately by Hester and her team.

Abby is lovely with such a great can do attitude, Brogain is such a character (as well as an amazing hair stylist) and kept me intertained during the 7 hours (no, that wasn’t a typo) I was in the salon. Shelley was so lovely (and patient!), removing the black dye from my hair which took 5 hours – she is so amazing, to watch her work is like watching an artist. She took such care and explained everything so well. Hester finished off the last 2 hours (poor Shelley will probably never want to see me again – 5 hours is a long time!) and the result was nothing less than miraculous!

My hair is now a beautiful and healthy copper red and I have had sooooo many compliments that my cheeks may be permanently red from blushing! What more can I say – I will never go to another hairdresser – I’m hooked! I’ve never met hairstylists who are more passionate or knowledgeable about hair AND their clients – a rarity these days.
Thank you so much Hester and co! See you soon :o )

Dandruff

Dandruff — those dry, white flakes of skin you constantly find yourself brushing off your collar or shoulders — poses no health risk whatsoever. But it can be a source of embarrassment, and the itchiness that may come with it is a genuine nuisance.

Need Help for Fine Hair?

If you were born with fine or thin hair, you probably curse it daily, but there is help out there! Anyone who constantly deals with the fact they have to wash and style first thing every morning or wear a hat all day knows what having fine hair is all about. Anyone who has searched all the products on the market and never found ‘the one’….knows. Anyone who has been interrupted during a blow dry and has to wet their hair down and start all over again…knows.

Summer Hair Care Tips for Fine Hair

We all need to pay attention to summer hair care tips for our hair! How to keep it healthy during the summer heat, humidity, salt, sand and chlorine? The glossy magazine photos of a pouty, sultry, barely-twenty-something walking the beach in an outfit that cost more than your car, with softly flowing hair, curling tendrils framing her face, unsullied by wind or sun…well, you get the idea.

Fact is, that simply doesn’t exist for anyone, much less for those of us with baby fine or thin hair.

Winter Hair Care Tips for

Winter Stressed Hair!

Yep, it’s cold, windy, and wet. Winter hair care time is here in full swing.

Although the summer sun, wind, and water definitely take their toll on your hair, winter hair stress is just as damaging. One of the most obvious results is dryness…both from the cold and wind as well as from right indoors where we don’t always have enough moisture in the air. Remember your science class where they taught you about static electricity? If you start looking like a dandelion gone to seed when you get up in the morning, your hair is crying out for some moisture.

What is male hair loss (male pattern baldness/androgenic alopecia)?

Both Men and Women can experience hair loss or thinning and I understand how stressful it is….

Male hair loss is the most common type of hair loss. It is caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in certain parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation.

In the past, baldness was often seen as something unfortunate or undesirable. However, this attitude has changed over the years and nowadays a clean-shaven head is usually considered both fashionable and attractive.

Curly or challenging hard to manage hair types

Check this site out and establish what type of curly hair you have

www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

Curly hair can be at either ends of the spectrum, you may have fine curly hair, coarse curly hair, ringlets, bouncing open curls or even simple a soft wave. Because curly hair can be so variable it is really important to use the correct products and styling tools.

Most Curly hair is best to be left to dry naturally as curly hair starts out on the back foot dehydrated to begin with. Do not feel bad, it just one of those things, once you realise this it will make your life easier as you can start using eave in hydration products.

Suggestions About How To Style Coarse Hair

Having thick hair is usually a blessing as well as a curse. Here are some tips on how to cope with your thick hair so that it is a blessing versus being a curse. Follow some simple guidelines and you will be able to avoid the frustration that comes with spending hours in front of the mirror and ending up with Marge Simpson hair. Coarse hair is essentially frizzy or naturally curly, tough to manage and difficult to control
